Social media and reporting workshop for Portuguese journalists

I will be presenting a full-day workshop today for the Committee of Concerned Journalists and Georgetown University for a group of visiting Portuguese journalists. We’ll be talking about social media and reporting.

I will be discussing points made in several earlier blog posts:

• Twitter tips for journalists
• Tips on curating the community conversation
• Tips on liveblogging for journalists

The workshop will also include material from my updated course for News University: Introduction to Reporting: Beat Basics.

I’ll invite the journalists to live-tweet the workshop using #CCJPortugal and will feed those into a CoverItLive event, which I will link here.
