Yes, every company needs a mobile strategy, not just newspapers. 234M americans use mobile phones and 53M have smartphones. They play games, search for info, browse sites, purchase via mobile phones, use apps and what have you.
They have moved from the PCs/ LapTops to phones. That’s something you can’t ignore. Companies must go where customers are, or be dead.

Noticed tucked into your presentation was to push press associations to help with apps.
I’ve been pushing this for a couple of years – press associations should set up a tech cooperatives, especially to help smaller operations, in a number of areas by trying to create “vanilla” apps that allow for some customization. Maybe someday …
